What Will You Do at Pigs & Pinot?
Taste of Pigs & Pinot
The fun-filled weekend kicks off with Taste of Pigs & Pinot, and you don’t want to miss it! This Friday night extravaganza gives you the chance to sample from over 60 different Pinot Noir wines. All of which are in the running for the Pinot Cup competition! Tastings of homemade sausages, charcuterie, grilled pork, patés, and other special creations will be readily available as you walk around and savor your pairings.
Tournament of the Pig with Charlie Palmer
The Tournament of the Pig is a fun and exciting iron chef-style competition between teams of professional chefs. Both teams are given a whole pig. They then have to create two distinct pork dishes with ingredients in the Dry Creek Kitchen. A judging panel then determines the winning teams. As an audience member, you will taste the delicious finished product and get to watch the entire showdown.
Ultimate Pinot Smackdown Seminar
If the Tournament of the Pig wasn’t enough competition for you, the Ultimate Pinot Smackdown will please your palate in more ways than one. Four master sommeliers go head to head selling 16 different pinots to you, the audience. You then get to sample all of the wines and determine the winner! Spots for this engaging event fill up quickly so get tickets soon before they are sold out!
Spoonbar’s Swine & Wine Dinner
After a full Saturday of competitions, fine wine, and great food, why not carry it into the evening? The Swine & Wine Dinner starts with drinks on The Rooftop bar at the Harmon Guest House. After the reception, you’ll head down to the Spoonbar where Chef Matthew D’Ambrosi will prepare a multi-course menu of delicious dishes starring pork as the main ingredient. Once again, you’ll get to sample more of the finest pinots in Sonoma County.
The incredible Gala Dinner also takes place at the same time as Spoonbar’s Swine & Dine, giving you another excellent choice for sampling top-notch cuisine. Featuring some of the most well-known and awarded chefs in the country, this five-course dinner and wine pairing in Hotel Healdsburg’s Dry Creek Kitchen is a recipe for a night to remember.
