Arista Winery Wine Reviews
The winery was founded in 2002 by Al and Janis McWilliams. Since then, the McWilliams family has held steadfast to their belief that the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are produced in small lots. This dedication to quality over quantity has paid off. The Arista Pinot Noir of 2013 earned 93 points on Wine Spectator, and the many of the Arista Pinot Noirs of 2014 scores ranged from 92 to 97 points. After you taste it, you’ll reach for Arista wine for sale anytime you come across it; it’s that good.
About the Winey Estate
In addition to the vineyards, the Arista Winery estate also features a small but thriving farm. There is one acre of organic gardens and a brood of multiple breeds of American Heritage hens. The estate also serves as the center for their honey and olive oil production. The estate’s executive chef, Timothy Kaulfers, oversees these unique features and expertly matches these goods and Arista wine to create exceptional pairings.
“East Meets West” Experience
Although you’ll find several different tasting and tour experiences to choose from when you visit Arista Winery, we recommend splurging on the “East Meets West” Experience. You’ll sample exceptional Pinot Noirs and cool-climate Chardonnays from the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County and the Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. With this unique showcase, you’ll learn about the distinctive flavors and unique characteristics that exist between California wine regions. You’ll also learn about the differences from vineyard to vineyard without a single region. This full-day event begins at Copain Wines in Healdsburg and ends at Arista.
